  6. To install WinWisdom 4.4 run SETUP.EXE and answer the prompts
  7. as they appear.  All of the necessary files will be decompressed
  8. and loaded into the proper directory.  A progress gauge will be
  9. displayed showing the percentage completion.  A Program Manager
  10. group will also be added for you.

  12. IMPORTANT NOTE #1:  Some system configurations are slow with 
  13. large file I/O.  It is not unusual for this MSAJT110.DL_ 
  14. to take 2-3 minutes to load.  Make sure you give it adequate time
  15. before giving up.

  17. IMPORTANT NOTE #2:  Due to a bug in Microsoft's setup software
  18. this program might fail on file VER.DLL.  If it does, move or
  19. rename the VER.DLL that you already have then run SETUP.EXE
  20. again.  After the install completes, keep the most current VER.DLL.

  22. ONE MORE NOTE:  If you are installing a 4.x version of WinWisdom
  23. on a system which has a 3.x version of WinWisdom on it,
  24. you will get a file error when you execute either of the 
  25. WinWisdom programs.  This release uses a completely new database
  26. which is incompatable with the old database.  Since the WINWIS.INI
  27. file used by your old version points to an old file, the new
  28. programs will not recognize the old files as WinWisdom files.
  29. When you receive the file error, just use 'Open' or 'Select file
  30. to use' from the 'File' menu to select one of the new files.
  31. You can prevent this problem from happening by deleting WINWIS.INI
  32. PRIOR to installing the new version.

  34. Registered users will receive a conversion program which will 
  35. convert the old file format into the new file format.  See 
  36. REGISTER.TXT for information on how to register WinWisdom.

  39. instructions.
